A public auction will be held on Wednesday, September 28.

 

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Auction will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.

 

The Ohio Department of Transportation is conducting this public auction of ODOT excess property in WOOD COUNTY, City of Northwood, ODOT PARCELS 012 E and 025 E.

Property to be sold As Is/Where Is in its present condition. All interested parties must make their own reviews and/or inspections prior to bidding. Please contact ODOT representative to be on site for inspection.

 

Pursuant to Chapter 5501.34 of the Ohio Revised Code, I will offer by public auction the following tracts of excess land located in Wood County on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., in the lobby of the Ohio Department of Transportation District 2 offices located at 317 E. Poe Road, Bowling Green, Ohio, doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

 

Parcels to be offered for sale:

012 E, Wood County, City of Northwood, Section 32, containing 2.008 acres and appraised @ $30,000, minimum bid $20,001, security deposit of $1,500 required. Property has access to Drouillard Road and Access Road B and is encumbered with an existing pipeline easement. Zoned M2 Heavy Industrial.


025 E, Wood County, City of Northwood, Section 33, containing 7.611 acres and appraised @ $230,000, minimum bid $153,334, security deposit of $11,500 required. Property has access to Drouillard Road and is zoned M2 Heavy Industrial.

 


ADDITIONAL TERMS OF SALE:

Security deposit must be made in the form of a cashier’s check or money order at the time of successful bid. Make remittance payable to: “Treasurer, State of Ohio”. The security deposit will be applied against the full purchase price of the property. The balance of the purchase price is due and payable on delivery of the Governor’s Deed. It is anticipated the Governor’s Deed will be available for delivery to the Grantee within 180 to 270 days from the date of the sale or as soon thereafter as possible.


Under no circumstance may the individual, firm, or corporation who has been declared the successful bidder advertise the property for sale to a third party until the Governor’s Deed has been delivered to the Grantee. Violation of this requirement may, at the option of the Grantor, result in the forfeiture of the deposit money and cancellation of the sale.

The Contract of Purchase executed by the Grantee(s) and agents of the Grantor (State of Ohio) on the date of sale, is not binding upon the Grantor until said Contract of Purchase has been approved by an official of the Ohio Department of Transportation, in Columbus, Ohio.


The Ohio Department of Transportation reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any tract listed for sale. A Non-Collusion Affidavit, Form RE 73-02, must be properly executed by the successful bidder for a bid to be considered valid.
ODOT property is offered for sale in “as is” condition. It shall be the responsibility of each bidder to inspect and examine the size and condition of each parcel. The descriptions listed are to be used for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any kind.
