I-71 Cuyahoga County
Interstate 71 median, lighting, and sign repairs – Various median, lighting, and sign repairs along I-71 in Cuyahoga County. Estimated Completion: July 2023
- I-71 between I-480 and U.S. 42 (Pearl Rd.) has various lane restrictions through July for median wall repairs.
Interstate 71, 90, and State Route 176 interchange improvements - Interchange improvement to I-71/SR 176 just south of I-90 by adding a third lane on I-90 east to SR 176/I-71 south and improving the ramp from Valentine Ave. and W.14th St. to SR 176 south in Cleveland. Estimated Completion: October 2023
- I-90 east/I-490 west to I-71 south/SR 176 south has various shoulder closures and off-peak lane restrictions through October 2023 for interchange improvements.
- W. 14th St. to Valentine Rd. is reduced to one lane through mid-October for interchange improvements.
I-77 Cuyahoga County
I-77 resurfacing – Resurface I-77 between Rockside Rd. and E. Schaaf Rd. Estimated Completion: August 2023
NEW IMPACTS
- The exit ramp from I-77 south to Rockside Rd. will be closed overnight on Thursday, May 25, Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for resurfacing.
- Detour will be posted.
- The ramp from I-480 east and west to Rockside Rd. will be closed overnight on Thursday, May 25, Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for resurfacing.

CONTINUING IMPACTS
- I-77 between Rockside Rd. and E. Schaaf Rd. will have various off-peak lane closures and ramp closures through August for resurfacing.
I-77 and Rockside Rd. interchange improvements - Interchange improvements at I-77 northbound and Rockside Rd. in the city of Independence Estimated Completion: October 2023
- I-77 northbound entrance and exit ramps to Rockside Rd. has various lane restrictions through late October for interchange improvements.
Interstate 77 interchange improvements – Complete the south half of the I-77 and Miller Rd. interchange by adding new ramps and pavement widening on I-77 and Miller Rd. Estimated Completion: November 2024
- Miller Rd. over I-77 has various lane restrictions for bridge work through fall 2023.
- SR 21 (Brecksville Rd.) to I-77 south is closed through July 2023 for pavement work.
- Detour is SR 21 (Brecksville Rd.) to Wheatley Rd. to I-77
- I-77 between Miller Rd. and SR 21 has various lane restrictions and traffic pattern shifts for interchange improvements through November 2024.
Interstate 90 resurfacing – Resurface I-90 just east of the Innerbelt Curve to E. 55th St. in Cleveland. Estimated Completion: September 2023
- I-90 between the Innerbelt Curve and E.55th St. has various off peak lane closures and ramp closures through late September 2023 for resurfacing.
Interstate 480 Cuyahoga County
Interstate 480 Interchange Improvements – Make various interchange improvements on I-480 at SR 237, I-71, and Grayton Rd. in Cleveland. Estimated Completion: July 2024
- I-480 eastbound and westbound between I-71 and SR 237 has various lane restrictions and traffic shifts through fall 2023 for interchange improvements.
Interstate 480 over Lee Rd. Bridge Deck Replacement – Replace the bridge deck on I-480 over Lee Rd. Estimated Completion: Spring 2025
- I-480 over Lee Rd. is in a bi-directional traffic pattern through October for bridge deck replacement. All lanes of traffic will be maintained, however, two lanes of eastbound traffic will be maintained on the I-480 westbound separated by a concrete barrier wall. Two lanes of traffic will remain on the existing eastbound side.
- I-480 over Lee Rd. has various lanes closed nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Fall 2023 for bridge deck repairs.
Interstate 480 Valley View Bridge Deck Replacement - Construct a new bridge between the two existing Valley View bridges and replace the decks of the I-480 east and westbound Valley View bridges in Garfield Heights and Independence. - Canal Rd. under I-480/ Valley View bridge will be closed on Tuesday, May 30, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. for overhead bridge work.
- I-480 westbound between Transportation Blvd. and I-77 will have various lane restrictions beginning on Friday, June 2, at 7 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday, June 5, for maintenance of traffic shift.
- I-480 westbound ramps to I-77 north and south will be closed overnight on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. for maintenance of traffic shift.
- Detour will be Brookpark Rd./ Granger Rd. to I-480 east.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
- Transportation Blvd. entrance ramp to I-480 west is closed through Monday, June 5, for pavement replacement.

Interstate 480 slope repairs – NEW IMPACTS The ramp from I-480 westbound to I-77 northbound in Independence will have various shoulder closures and off-peak lane restrictions beginning on Tuesday, May 30, through October for slope repairs. Estimated Completion: October 2023
Interstate 480 Resurfacing – Resurface I-480 between the Rocky River bridge and W. 139th St. in Cleveland and Brookpark. Estimated Completion: September 2023
- I-480 between the Rocky River bridge and W. 139th St. has various off peak lane restrictions and ramp closures through September 2023 for resurfacing.
Interstate 490 Cuyahoga County
Interstate 490/State Route 10/Opportunity Corridor Section 3 - Construction a new roadway between E. 55th St./I-490 and E. 93rd St. in the city of Cleveland. Visit www.opportunitycorridor.transportation.ohio.gov for more information and detours. Estimated Completion: June 2023
- Opportunity Corridor Blvd. between I-490 and E. 93rd. St. will have various daily lane restrictions through June 2023.

Cuyahoga County
U.S. Route 6 and 20 (Euclid Ave.) resurfacing and safety improvements –Resurfacing and safety improvements on U.S. 6 and U.S. 20 (Euclid Ave.) between I-90 and Upper Valley Dr. in the City of Euclid. Estimated Completion: Spring 2023
- U.S. 6 and U.S. 20 (Euclid Ave.) between I-90 and Upper Valley Dr. has various lane restriction through spring 2023 for resurfacing and safety improvements.
Ridge Rd. pavement replacement – Replace the pavement on Ridge Rd. between U.S. 42 (Pearl Rd.) and Flowerdale Ave. in the cities of Parma, Brooklyn, and Cleveland. Estimated Completion: July 2023
NEW IMPACTS
- Ridge Rd. to I-480 eastbound entrance ramp will be closed Tuesday, May 30, through late June for pavement replacement. This is a Cuyahoga County Engineers project. All questions about this project should be directed to 216-310-8467.

Scranton Rd. bridge deck replacement - Replace the bridge deck on Scranton Rd. bridge over I-90 in the city of Cleveland. Estimated Completion: June 2023
- I-490/I-90 under Scranton Rd. has various shoulder closures for bridge painting through May 2023.
U.S. Route 422 slope repairs - Slope repairs along U.S. 422 just west of Liberty St. in Solon. Estimated Completion: September 2023

U.S. Route 422 bridge painting – Paint various bridges on U.S. 422 in Solon and Warrensville Hts. Estimated Completion: August 2022
NEW IMPACTS
- Solon Rd. under U.S. 422 in Solon will be reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary traffic signal beginning on Tuesday, May 30, through mid-September.
- SR 175 / Richmond Rd. under U.S. 422 in Warrensville Heights will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning on Friday, June 2, through late August for bridge painting.
State Route 14 (Broadway Ave.) NEW IMPACTS - SR 14 (Broadway Ave.) between Forbes Rd. and Rockside Rd. in Bedford will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction beginning on Monday, June 12, through early July for resurfacing. Estimated Completion: October 2023
State Route 17 (Brookpark Rd.) resurfacing – Resurface SR 17 (Brookpark Rd.) between W. 130th St. and I-480 ramps in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, Cleveland, and Parma. Estimated Completion: August 2024
- SR 17 (Brookpark Rd.) between just east of W.130th St. and just east of the Railroad will have various lane restrictions and traffic pattern shifts through mid-May for resurfacing.
State Route 17 (Granger Rd.) pavement replacement – Replace pavement on SR 17 (Granger Rd.) between the I-480 eastbound entrance ramp and the I-480 westbound exit ramp in the village of Brooklyn Heights. Estimated Completion: May 2024
- Tuxedo Ave. southbound between W. Schaaf Rd. and Springbrook Dr. is closed through October 2023. Northbound traffic will remain open.
- Detour for traffic on W. Schaaf Rd. is Hinkley Industrial Pkwy. to Spring Rd. to SR 176 south to SR 17 to Broadview Rd. to Tuxedo Ave.
- Detour for traffic on SR 17 will be Broadview Rd. to Tuxedo Ave.
- The SR 17 (Granger Rd.) eastbound entrance ramp to I-480 eastbound is closed through July 2023.
- Eastbound traffic will utilize the SR 17 (Granger Rd.) westbound entrance ramp.
- SR 17 (Granger Rd.) between the I-480 eastbound entrance ramp and the I-480 westbound exit ramp is reduced to one lane in each direction through October 2023.

State Route 43 bridge replacement – Replace the SR 43 (Aurora Rd.) bridge just east of SR 175 over Tinkers Creek in the Solon. Estimated Completion: October 2023

Cedar Rd. and Richmond Rd. intersection improvements - The intersection of Cedar Rd. and Richmond Rd. in the cities of Lyndhurst and Beachwood has various lane restriction for intersection improvements, through December 2023. Estimated Completion: December 2023
Center St. bridge rehabilitation – Center St. bridge over the Cuyahoga River between Merwin Ave. and Detroit Ave. in Cleveland is closed through Summer 2023, for bridge rehabilitation. Estimated Completion: Summer 2023
- Detour is Main Ave. to W. 25th St. to Columbus Rd.
E.75th St. over the Norfolk Southern/GCRTA railroads bridge replacement – E. 75th St. over the Norfolk Southern/GCRTA railroad in Cleveland is closed through late May for bridge replacement. Estimated Completion: June 2023
E. 140th St. resurfacing – Resurface E. 140th St. between St. Clair Ave. and SR 284 (Lakeshore Blvd.) in Cleveland. Estimated Completion October 2024
- E.140th St. southbound between St. Clair Ave. and Aspenwall Ave. is closed through November for resurfacing. Northbound traffic will remain open.
- Detour for southbound traffic will utilize E. 152nd St.
E. 185th St. rehabilitation and streetscape improvements – Pavement rehabilitation and streetscape improvements to E. 185th St. between Lake Erie and Pawnee Ave. Estimated Completion: December 2023
- E.185th St. between Villaview Dr. and the Railroad bridge has various nightly lane restriction between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. through late May for pavement work.
- E.185th St. southbound between Villaview Rd. and Abby Ave. is closed, through December 2023 for pavement work.
- Detour is Lakeshore Ave. eastbound to E. 200th St. southbound to St. Clair Ave. westbound to E.185th St.
Independence Blvd. bridge replacement –Bridge replacement on Independence Blvd. over Brandywine Creek between Brandywine Rd. and Greenbriar Dr. in Parma Heights is closed through late August. Estimated Completion: August 2023
- Detour is York Rd. to North Church Dr. to Ames Rd.
W. Franklin Blvd. resurfacing and roundabout construction – Resurfacing and roundabout construction at eight intersections on W. Franklin Blvd. between W. 85th St. and W. 25th St. in Cleveland. Estimated Completion: August 2023
- W. Franklin Blvd. eastbound between W. 25th St. to W. 50th St. is closed through August, for resurfacing and roundabout construction. Westbound traffic will remain open.

Wolf Rd. and Cahoon Rd. intersection improvements –The intersection of Wolf Rd. and Cahoon Rd. in Bay Village has various lane restrictions maintained by flaggers, through August for intersections improvements. Estimated Completion: August 2023
