GREENE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
Through the week ending April 1, 2023: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Greene County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. U.S. 35-Valley/Trebein Interchange - Construction of an interchange at the routes’ intersection between Xenia and Beavercreek. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained on U.S. 35; however, lane restrictions will be in effect in either direction, and intermittent, short-term periods closure may also be in effect. Turning movements to Valley and Trebein roads will also be restricted, and both routes will be subject to closure during various phases of construction. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025. |
NEW IMPACTS
S.R. 72 Resurfacing - Between the Clark County line at Clifton to just north of Turnbull Road at Cedarville. The project remains on winter hiatus following bridge work and pavement repairs in 2022; however, crews will return to the project in the coming weeks to begin paving operations. Traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers during hours of operation. All work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023.
S.R. 72 Minor Widening & Pavement Rehabilitation - Between the U.S. 35 interchange and Turnbull Road at the Cedarville corporation limit. Construction includes repairing the pavement, widening the shoulder in various sections, rehabilitating a culvert and a bridge, replacing a box culvert, and resurfacing. Currently, traffic is being maintained by flaggers as needed during hours of operation, daily from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Northbound S.R. 72 will be subject to closure throughout much of the 2023 construction season; however, a date to close the route has yet to be determined. Southbound traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed throughout construction. The project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024.
