Active Transportation
Walking and biking are essential transportation options in Ohio communities. ODOT's Active Transportation Program addresses the needs of people walking and biking while helping build local, regional and state-level capacity to ensure that walking and biking are safe, comfortable and convenient transportation options.
What is Active Transportation?
Active transportation is human-powered transportation that engages people in healthy physical activity while they travel from place to place. People walking, bicycling, using strollers, wheelchairs/mobility devices, skateboarding and rollerblading are engaged in active transportation.
