OES achieves its goals through the dedicated work of staff who monitor and implement environmental laws, rules and regulations through ODOT's environmental, design, construction and maintenance programs.
Goals

- Efficiently and effectively guide transportation projects through ODOT's project development process by ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Educate and train ODOT personnel, consultants, and the public on the state and federal environmental requirements and ODOT-specific procedures to meet those requirements for transportation projects.
