ODOT’s anti-trafficking efforts
- Serve as member of the Governor’s Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force
- Serve as member of Central Ohio Reach & Restore Coalition
- Provide human trafficking awareness training to external agencies/organizations/associations
- Hold discussions with other agencies/organizations to assist with anti-trafficking efforts
- Display human trafficking awareness information on Ohio’s Oversize/Overweight Special Hauling Permits (average of 350,000 permits issued each year to those driving through Ohio with an oversize/overweight load)
- Insert human trafficking awareness information to Ohio’s annual private plane registration packets (approximately 8,000 packets mailed each year)
- Coordinated the placement and replacement of tear-away stickers containing the National Human Trafficking Hotline number in every stall of every restroom in each of the rest areas overseen by ODOT
- Publish articles containing human trafficking awareness information that are disseminated in a newsletter to contractors and local public agencies
- Play human trafficking awareness information on televisions in public-facing areas (e.g., rest areas)
- Post human trafficking awareness materials in public-facing areas
- Post human trafficking awareness information on social media platforms
- Participate in anti-trafficking discussions
