The Credit Bridge Program is available to county governments who use Federal-aid funds to replace or rehabilitate their bridges. This program permits counties to replace, rehabilitate or demolish a bridge that is not on a Federal-aid highway and receive credit for up to 80 percent of the eligible construction and construction engineering costs. The credit, in turn, serves as a 15 percent non-Federal share for a future Federal-aid bridge project. For more information regarding eligibility and the process, please refer to the Credit Bridge Guidance.
Local Programs staff maintain and update guidelines and forms regularly to assist local public agencies with the Credit Bridge Program funding process.
