ODOT and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Small Business Transportation Resource Center for the Great Lakes Region (covering Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, & Wisconsin) are partnering to host to the 2023 Ohio Bonding Education Program (BEP). 

The Ohio BEP will help small businesses to become bond ready with a hands-on, multi-component program designed to address the needs of the small, disadvantaged business community to become bond-ready, increase capacity, and ultimately compete for and participate on transportation-related contracts.

Topics to be discussed include:
Strategic Planning, Management
Procurement/Marketing
Financial Management/Access to Capital
Surety Bonds and Insurance: Understanding its impact on credit
Construction Law and Risk Management
Partnering/Joint Venture

The six-week BEP series will be held virtually from 2 to 4 p.m. on the following Wednesdays in February and March*:
