Opportunity Corridor Section 3 is the last section of the Opportunity Corridor project. It will construct a new roadway from I-490/East 55th Street to East 93rd Street. Design-Build contract was awarded to the Kokosing Construction Company for a bid amount of $150,858,250. Construction began in fall 2018 and the new boulevard was opened in November 2021.

Traffic Impacts

Current Impacts

  • Opportunity Corridor Blvd. between I-490 and E. 93rd. St. will have various daily lane restrictions through October 2022. 
  • Short term lane and road closures on various side streets will also be necessary.

Permanent Closures: 

  • E. 89th St. between Woodland Ave. and Kennedy Ave. Traffic is re-routed via Buckeye Rd.
  • Tennyson Rd. between Buckeye Rd. and Evarts Rd. Traffic is re-routed via Grand Ave. 
  • Colfax between E. 68th St. and E. 69th St.
  • E. 68th St. between Kinsman Rd. and Colfax Rd.

Public comments regarding our projects are always welcome!

This section is for frequently asked questions and project-related questions. You may notice that some projects require one or more formal comment period(s) with deadlines for comments to be considered during certain phase(s) of the project development process.
