Our Mission is to ensure a safe and efficient transportation system by developing engineering policies, standards, and guidelines, providing technical assistance and advancing state-of-the-art engineering practices.
We accomplish our mission by assisting offices within Central Office and the Districts by acting as a consultant, by aiding in the review, design and operation of Ohio's transportation system.
We are dedicated to the betterment of Ohio's public transportation system with regard to quality and service by working with all public agencies and private companies engaged in transportation in a cooperative and professional manner.

This manual sets crash standards for roadside safety hardware and sunset dates for non-MASH compliant devices.
