Training

Training is a wide and varied activity at ODOT. Training can be general or specific, free or fee-based, eLearning or classroom, webinar or webcast. Even conferences, such as the  Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference (OTEC), offer CPDs (Continuous Professional Development) credit and are considered a training event.

Many trainings here are necessary for prequalification requirements for opportunities from  Consultant Services or  Contracts. Others are offered to local public agencies, ODOT employees, and other public entities, including popular courses like  Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) training or the  Ohio Traffic Incident Management (OTIM) program.

If you can't find what you're looking for here, the  Ohio Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center is a valuable resource for training, eLearning, and other technical assistance. Many of ODOT's trainings are hosted through the LTAP Center, which maintains a comprehensive list of its upcoming opportunities on its site. Alternatively, reach out to us for help!
