Ohio's Civil Rights Transportation Symposium - CANCELLED!
Ohio's Civil Rights Transportation Symposium - CANCELLED!

Greetings Valued Partners,

I hope this letter finds you well. ODOT and its sponsors, Women’s Transportation Seminar, American Council of Engineering Companies, and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, have decided to postpone cancel the 2020 Civil Rights Symposium in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and Governor DeWine’s recommendation of limiting gatherings of 10 or more people.

I want to thank our gracious partners for their continued support of the Civil Rights Symposium. It is through your sponsorship and coordination that ODOT can host such a wonderful event.

We will continue to accept nominations for the Ohio Transportation Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion awards although we are postponing the 2020 symposium. We will be extending the date for submission of nominations until April 17, 2020. ODOT also plans to award its Civil Rights Symposium Scholarships. Announcements for both the awards recipients and scholarship winners will be made later this spring.

Thank you for all you do for ODOT and the transportation industry. Stay healthy, and as Governor DeWine continually reminds us, “We are all in this together and together we will all get through this.”

Best regards,
Jack Marchbanks, Ph.D.
ODOT Director
