ODOT District 12 serves Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties in northeast Ohio, including the greater Cleveland region. Headquartered in Garfield Heights, the district maintains over 3,000 lane miles of interstate, federal, and state highways and 912 bridges throughout its three-county region.
Additional work required on Opportunity Corridor Blvd. has delayed the opening of I-490 between I-77 and E. 55th Street to November 1, 2021, when the entire new stretch of the boulevard will be substantially open to traffic.
Across the nation, one tow truck driver is killed alongside the road every six days. In addition, 23 highway workers and one law enforcement officer is killed each month while performing their duties on American roadways.
