Engineering

The Division of Engineering provides the specialized engineering, technical assistance, and contract support necessary to ensure the timely, efficient delivery of projects that comprise ODOT's multi-year programs. Engineering serves its customers – the traveling public, business communities, district offices and industry partners – through the coordinated efforts of staff in eight offices.
- Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Mapping Services: Remote sensing, geographic information system (GIS), digital imaging, mapping, surveying, and CADD
- Consultant Services: External consultant contracts and agreements
- Geotechnical Engineering: Specialized engineering in earthworks
- Hydraulic Engineering: Specialized engineering in roadway drainage
- Pavement Engineering: Specialized engineering in smooth, quiet, cost-effective pavements
- Real Estate: Right-of-way purchasing and coordination
- Roadway Engineering: Development of engineering policies, standards, and guidelines for roadways
- Structural Engineering: Development of engineering policies, standards, and guidelines for bridges
