Butler County (Wednesday, August 5, 2020) – Construction of the S.R. 73/Jacksonburg Road roundabout will require closing the south leg of Jacksonburg Road on Thursday, August 20, for 60 days.
The south leg of Jacksonburg Road will be closed at the intersection of S.R. 73, and no vehicles will be permitted to turn from S.R. 73 onto southbound Jacksonburg Road. While it is closed, traffic will be detoured by way of Howe Road, Wayne Madison Road, Hamilton Trenton Road, Riverside Drive and Morganthaler Road.
In addition to the closure of Jacksonburg Road, S.R. 73 will be shifted to the north on temporary pavement, and Portable Concrete Barrier (PCB) will be installed through the length of the project.
Bi-directional or two-way traffic will be maintained on S.R. 73 in an 11-foot lane in each direction; however, the route will be subject to intermittent, single-lane closures within the work zone. During these restrictions, traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
