Butler County (Monday, April 5, 2021) – Lane and shoulder restrictions will be in effect this week on state Route 747 in Butler County as part of a signalization project.
Beginning Tuesday, April 6, and continuing throughout the week, single-lane closures will be in effect on S.R. 747 at the intersections of Muhlhauser Road and Port Union Road for signal work.
The lane closures will be in place daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and only one lane will be closed at time in either direction. Various shoulder closures will also be in effect daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The restrictions are scheduled to be lifted by Friday, April 9.
In addition, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the intersection of S.R. 747 and Port Union Road from 9 p.m. Thursday, April 8 to 5 a.m. Friday, April 9 for signal support installation. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
All work is contingent upon the weather. Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
