S.R. 73 Lane Closures Resume For Multi-Use Bike Trail Project

Lebanon (Monday, April 5, 2021) – Construction of a multi-use trail to extend the existing Great Miami River Scenic Trail resumes this week.

Beginning the week of April 5, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart periodic lane closures of the right lane of state Route 73 between Baxter Drive in Franklin and N. Breiel Boulevard in Middletown. Restrictions will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, April 16, and traffic will be maintained through the work zone.

The entire project includes constructing a retaining wall, installing concrete barriers to separate the bike trail from traffic, and extending the storm sewer.

Milcon Concrete, Inc. was awarded a contract for approximately $2.4 million to perform the work, and all associated work is scheduled to be completed in late September 2021.
