Greene County (Friday, May 1, 2020) – As part of the U.S. 35 Superstreet project between T.R. 48 (Factory Road) and T.R. 1217 (Orchard Lane) in Greene County, lane restrictions will be in effect Saturday, May 2, for signal work.
Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow while crews remove existing the signals and activate temporary signals that will be used during construction. Throughout the day, traffic will be maintained by law enforcement officers.
In addition, lane restrictions will be in effect in both the east and westbound directions of U.S. 35 while crews shift traffic to the inside lanes and shoulder that will be used to maintain traffic during Phase 1 construction. The traffic shifts will take place Monday night and Tuesday night, from approximately 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. Although most work will be during the nighttime hours both days, there may be some intermittent lane restrictions during daytime hours.
