Chillicothe, Ohio (Thursday, October 8, 2020) - The new State Route 207 Connector project in northern Ross County is now officially opened to traffic.
The project includes a new roadway extending SR 207 from U.S. 23 east to SR 159, as well as two roundabouts--one at the intersection of SR 207 and SR 159, and one at the intersection of SR 159 and SR 180.
- The project represents one of the final remaining pieces of the Ross County Thoroughfare plan, and provides system linkage between major transportation routes for the area.
- The project was sold in Summer 2019 to Shelly & Sands for a cost of $6.7 million.
- Construction began in Fall 2019, with primary construction occurring Summer 2020.
- The goal of the project is improve access, mobility, and safety, as well as support future growth and development.
