Erie County: Construction update

Week of July 13, 2020

ERIE COUNTY (Thursday, July 9, 2020) – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Erie County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.


U.S. Route 6 roadway improvements - U.S. 6, between Berlin Road and Lincoln Avenue, will have single lane closures for roadway improvements.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • Thursday, June 25 – Wednesday, July 8 – U.S. 6 westbound lane will be closed, traffic will be shifted to the center turn lane from Berlin Road to Lincoln Avenue. All drainage, sidewalks, curb ramps, and driveways will be installed on the north side.

Estimated completion: October 2020


U.S. Route 6 resurfacing – U.S. 6 through the city of Sandusky, from Venice Road to east of Remington Avenue, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers to complete curb ramp sidewalk replacement as well as curb removal and replacement. Estimated completion: September 2020
