Portage County: Construction update

Week of May June 1, 2020

Portage County (Thursday, May 28, 2020) – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Portage County next week. All scheduled work is weather permitting.

 

State Routes 5 & 44 resurfacing in Rootstown & Ravenna Townships
NEW IMPACTS
– The ramp from State Route 5 eastbound to State Route 14 will be closed beginning Friday evening, May 29 at 7 p.m. until Saturday morning, May 30 at 6 a.m. The detour will be State Route 5 to Riddle Rd.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
The following routes have various lane restrictions: 
•    State Route 5 from I-76 to SR 59
•    State Route 44 from SR 14 to the SR 14 entrance ramp 
•    State Route 44 from Enterprise Parkway to Pershing Ave. 
Estimated completion, late August 2020.
 

State Routes 14, 43 & 303 signal project, Streetsboro
The following routes have various lane restrictions:

  • State Route 14 from Singletary Dr./Mondial Parkway to Portage Pointe Drive
  • State Route 43 from Seasons Rd./Colony Dr. to Pike Parkway
  • State Route 303 from Market Square Drive to Superior Ave.

Estimated completion, late June2020.

 

State Route 43 resurfacing, Streetsboro
State Route 43 between Frost Rd. and the Aurora corporation limit has various daily lane restrictions. Estimated completion, late June 2020.

 

State Route 305 chip seal, Hiram & Nelson Townships
State Route 305 between State Route 82 and State Route 282 has various daily lane restrictions. Estimated completion, late July 2020.
