ODOT Jobs and Commerce provided a $52,000 grant to Lawrence County Port Authority for construction of a new roadway connecting 6th and 8th streets in the City of Ironton. This investment will support existing industries looking to create of 15 new jobs while retaining of 75 jobs in Ironton.

“The Jobs and Commerce Program's assistance closed the gap left by private and other grant funding.  This funding made possible millions in private investment, the restoration of an industrial building that was slated for demolition, and the construction of a new 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility.  Thanks to Jobs and Commerce, Ironton and Lawrence County has over fifty new family wage jobs with great benefits.” said Bill Dingus of the Lawrence County Port Authority.

The roadway construction is projected to advance in summer in of 2022.
