Bridge Rehabilitation Planned for State Route 46 in Greene Township, Trumbull County
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) plans to improve State Route (SR) 46 in Greene Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. The project proposes to rehabilitate the bridge carrying SR 46 over Mosquito Creek between Wakefield Creek Road and York Street by replacing the existing deteriorated bridge deck and approach slabs. The $917,740 project is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2022.
SR 46 at the bridge site will be closed to traffic for a maximum of forty-five (45) consecutive days during project construction. The official detour route for this closure will utilize State Route 87, SR 11 and U.S. Route 322. Construction and bridge closure/detour information will be posted within the project construction limits and on the ODOT District 4 webpage, HERE prior to the start of project construction. Access shall be maintained to all adjacent properties within the project construction limits for the duration of project construction.
To ensure the decision-making process is comprehensive, ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include those involving archaeological, architectural and ecological resources, regulated materials and the general location of the project. ODOT also requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity of the project including prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, landmarks and districts.
