U.S. 35/Smithville Road interchange improvements
About the project
This project will reconfigure the interchange of Smithville Rd. and US 35. The existing ramp for northbound traffic to enter westbound US 35 will be removed (flyover ramp). In addition, a new northbound to westbound US 35 access will be constructed and will tie in with the existing southbound to westbound US 35 ramp. This intersection will be signalized. Great Lakes Construction Company is the contractor. The cost of the project is $4 million dollars. The construction began in the Spring of 2019 and is tentatively scheduled for completion in Fall 2020. This project will improve safety and create a better commute for motorists.
