State Route 416 Bridge Replacement Project Over Mud Run
Ohio Department of Transportation Proposes a Bridge Improvement Project over Mud Run in Warwick Township, Tuscarawas County
New Philadelphia – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), District 11, proposes to improve 0.08 miles of State Route (SR) 416, approximately 4.78 miles north of the US 36 junction in Warwick Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
Improvements include the rehabilitation of the existing bridge (SFN: 7905920) over Mud Run by replacing the deck, approach slabs, repairing the substructure, minimal approach work, and guardrail replacement.
Impacts to Mud Run are anticipated. Impacts to potential wetlands in the project area and suitable wooded habitat for protected bat species may also occur. There are no anticipated impacts to regulated hazardous materials or cultural resources. Utilities are present, but no relocations are required. The project will involve work within a designated FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area, Zone A.
No new right-of-way will be required to construct the project.. Traffic will be maintained the duration of construction which is proposed to begin in the Spring of 2023.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed action. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials, and/or any general concerns regarding the project.
