U.S. 30/SR 89 intersection improvements
About the project
The project will consist of converting the two way stop controlled intersection at US 30 and SR 89 to a reduced conflict U-turn (RCUT) intersection design. This intersection design includes closing the median at SR 89 and providing downstream median breaks on US 30 for U-turns. Left turn and through movements from SR 89 would be accommodated at the U-turn locations on US 30. Left turn movements from US 30 to SR 89 would also be made at the U-turns. The project is planned to start in 2021 and last approximately 90 days.
All outlined work is weather permitting.
U.S. 30 Reduced Conflict U-Turn – U.S. 30, between Township Road 405 and County Road 175, will have single lane closures for intersection improvements. Construction work will improve the intersection of U.S. 30 and SR 89 by installing a reduced conflict U-turn (RCUT). Estimated completion: October 2021
