About the project

The Anthony Wayne Trail (state Route 25) bridge over the railroad will be replaced. The new structure will allow additional vertical clearance. The project also includes the replacement of the signal at City Park and Emerald Avenue.

Inbound and outbound Anthony Wayne Trail traffic is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Throughout the duration of the project, no access will be available between the Anthony Wayne Trail (state Route 25) and City Park/Emerald Avenue.

Timeline

May 2018: Inbound and outbound Anthony Wayne Trail reduced to two lanes to build crossovers.


Mid-June 2018 through summer 2019: Inbound reduced to one lane in outbound lanes to rebuild the inbound half of the bridge.


Summer 2019 through summer 2020: Inbound and outbound Anthony Wayne Trail reduced to two lanes in the inbound lanes to rebuild the outbound half of the bridge, reconstruction median, and finish project.

Current traffic impacts

State Route 25 (Anthony Wayne Trail) inbound traffic is restricted to one lane between Western Avenue and Collingwood Boulevard. Outbound traffic remains two lanes.

The following streets are also affected by the project:

  • Emerald Avenue between Vinton Street and state Route 25 (Anthony Wayne Trail) is closed.
  • City Park Avenue between Greene Street and state Route 25 (Anthony Wayne Trail) is closed.
