About the project

ODOT is replacing two bridges on Interstate 75 between U.S. 36 and County Road 25A south of Piqua in Miami County. Construction began on the project in the Spring of 2019. The existing bridges are the original structures from 1958. Those bridges carry I-75 over the CSX rail line in Staunton and Spring Creek Townships. Also, underneath the bridges are a stream that connects to the Great Miami River in Staunton. ODOT plans to widen the bridges and the approach pavements to increase the outside shoulder from 4’3” to 12’. This project is necessary to ensure the bridges remain as functionally safe structures and will help ODOT perform routine road maintenance safely. Traffic will be maintained on I-75, there will be some traffic pattern shifts and lane closures. The project is expected to be complete by August 2020.
