Traveling
Whether they are exploring the state or making their daily commute, millions of travelers depend on Ohio's transportation system every day. In addition to the maintenance and construction of the state's highway system, the Ohio Department of Transportation is responsible for many other assets and initiatives to support the easy movement of people and goods, including traffic information applications, active transportation methods, and roadside rest areas.
The Ohio Department of Transportation constructs and maintains state, federal, and interstate highways. The agency does not issue or regulate driver licenses, commercial driver licenses, vehicle titles or license plates.
